What is a Jack Chi?

Its coat can be shiny and short or wiry, depending on which gene was passed on by its parents. The color of its coat can vary from chocolate, gold, tan, cream, black, white, brown, and tricolor.

This pooch needs to be fed around 1/2 to 1 cup of good quality dry food a day. Do take note they may overeat if you give them more than enough so monitor their feeding to avoid any health issue such as obesity.

How much would it cost you in owning a Jack Chi?

A Jack Chi pup may cost around $200-$750. For dog supplies such as food and water bowls, collar, leash, and crate and some medical things like blood tests, vaccines, deworming, and spaying would cost around $360-$400. Annual medical things like check-ups, vaccines, flea prevention and insurance would be around $435-$535. Other things like food, training, toys, and license would be around $265-$365.

What are the possible health concerns of a Jack Chi?

Like any other mixed breed, the Jack Chi may inherit its parent’s health issues. Some health conditions may include Hypoglycemia, Heart problems, Collapsed Trachea, Hydrocephalus, Patellar Luxation, Deafness, Open Fontanel, Shivering, Eye problems, and Legg-Calve-Perthes disease.

To lessen these risks it would be best to get the dog from a responsible seller/breeder who takes good care of their dogs. But, in case any of the said health concerns still shows, it would be best to consult a veterinarian.
